Has anyone here had their front seats reworked? My car had gray leather all around when I bought it and it looks brand new so I don't want to swap the seats if I can help it. But.....dang, that front seat is not the most supportive thing in the world especially at my girth

I was wondering if an upholstery shop could add padding or something to an existing seat and wanted to see if anyone else has done a "butt mod."

Thanks,

Chris

Have you disconnected top spring? It's not the best mod, but it'll give you some comfort. Disconnect only the top one. I also tried second one and it was terrible.

I swapped mine with s14 seats and oh boy... I'm so happy since then. My front and back seats don't match right now, but eventually I'll rework them to match.

there is nothing about the stock seats worth saving, including perfect upholstery. Buy something better and have them reupholstered to match the rest of your car if thats important to you. The stock seats aren't very safe (known to break the backs in collisions) are uncomfortable, prone to tear/cracking etc, and unsupportive.
