ok after a long time of trying to fix my car finally i almost finished...well i was driving and i felt a little "skip" in the acceleration...then sitting at a light it stubbled a little and the check engine light flashed about 5 times really quickly...kinda like a strobe light...now i was talking to FlatBlackIan trying to get the codes out of the ecu....but apparently i dont have this LED to flash at me...and when i tried to connect to the obd2 it didnt read anything...it read as an error...FlatBlackIan tried to help me up in telling me how to connect somethig to something to get the codes but im just lost...if anyone has a detail instructions on how to get these codes from the ecu i would thank you very much...i have an s14 zenki with an s14 zenki sr20det zenki harness and WC (red) Ecu...and for the life of me i cant find anything on it or on google...eveything is for an s13...need some serious help because im on a time limit...im moving to SC from FL in 2 weeks and i have to make sure my car makes it up there...thanks

your ECU has no LED? are you sure...

- supposedly, you turn the dial counter clockwise, all the way, - key in the ignition and turn it to ACC- rotate the nob with a screw driver, clockwise fully, hold and tun it back.

it should start blinking... unless you're right and you actually don't have one.

I could also be that little diode to the left, it looks like a light.

this might help

you should open up your ecu and look inside, the LED should be clearly visible then.

if there are any burnt spots, you've found your problem. you can resoder and burnt connections, but then you'll have to add grounds or figure out the cause of the short to prevent it from surging again.

I hope that helps.

s14 ECUs don't utilize an onboard LED. Nissan did away with them for the 94+ models (the Type-X S13 ECUs also delete the LED) You can still enter onboard diagnostics the same as S13s, the Check Engine Light will flash for you instead of an LED.

that usually refers to the secondary O2 sensor I believe. It would be the one in your cat. (downstream O2)
