To clear up some doubts, the SR20DET with atmospheric blow off valve will cause backfires between shifts and suddenly off of heavy loads. This is due to the absence of air (it was released) while the fuel is still being dumped in (cause the MAFS tells it that air is still coming in). Did that clear up anything yet? The rev limiter would be safe for those who reach it every now and then because the factory method of limit is to cut the fuel. Obviously, the turbo is still spooling and blowing more air. More air with less fuel (it was cut) can lead to a lean detonation (uh oh). This is why Bee*R made this product. It is for those people who rev that needle without keeping track of it and accidently bouncing off the limit blowing the motor up in some cases. Instead of fuel cut, Bee*R just stops the spark to keep the fuel from burning.
