Asked summit, but they are laggin on their response time:

http://store.summitracing.com/default.a ... wordSearch

It's a 5/16 braided stainless steel line I want to use to replace the rubber fuel hoses. Since I'm installing the new fpr & fuel gauge anyway, might as well get a nice fuel line to go w/ it .

THANKS!

***EDIT: Does not work, read below.

Stainless steel fuel lines for all your plumbing needs. What's so great about these SSteel-Flex fuel lines? They feature 304 stainless steel flex braid on high quality nitrile rubber hose construction, an inner ply of braided cord with Hypalon for extra durability, and are easy to cut with a hacksaw for custom installation. Plus, they exceed all OEM specifications and are approved for use with all types of gasoline, diesel fuel, and octane boosters.

I would have to say yes , it even states it on the link you gave us

Just wanted to make sure because there were a few fuel hoses on there that were only for carbuerated engines w/ a psi cut off of 50 psi - didn't know if that would make a difference.

Thanks!

Exactly.

What is the oem hose rated for, that should be the question I'm asking. If the oem hose is also 50psi rated, I should be fine then.

This stainless one "looks" stronger than a replacement hose I'm planning on buying @ autozone.

lol @ this thread

umm what kind of horsepower gains are you looking for from this high performance hose?

its a fancy hose, don't blow money away because you can...

people claim to run 120psi on stock houses and no failures yet...

if you are looking for the bling factor, your local rice store offers chrome hose covers...

Yea yea yea, I'm a ricer. HAHA.

I'm not expecting horsepower gains, I'm hoping it will be safer - yes, even though the factory one is suppose to be good up to 120psi. Thanks for the # .

Considering it only costs about an extra 10 bucks more for a couple sets of hoses, it's not a bad price to make me happy, hehe.

My stock hoses are 16 years old, and I keep reading fuel is one of most important parts of the turbo setup, so why not get the better solution of 2 for not so much more? If it does perform better for only a small amount of money, I don't see why it's a bad idea.

O, and look who has the painted valve cover, blue cluster lights & dome light (I highly doubt the blue light offers better lighting than the regular dome light), white strobe lights in the trunk, "wood" cluster trim, chrome mesh grill, tinted taillights, etc. How many hp are you gaining from that?

Go to your local auto store (pep boys, napa etc) ask for transmission fluid (oil) hose. Rated at 400 psi, it cost me at NAPA $11 for 3 feet. Beat that.

I tell people its a red top SR20 LOL...

stock cluster lights are white/yellow...blah

dome light is there to complete the look, who needs a dome light when you have a flashlight in the car?

white strobes, lol...yeah

the wood trim actually came stock with the car, i just recently changed it to rare oem flat black...

tinted taillights, because the stock ones are ugly, I did get some 2000 tail lights that are red-clear-red, instead of red-clear-orange…be installing sooooon

Ok, got an update from SummitRacing support:

Quote »Thanks for writing. Unfortunately, that type of line is not meant to hold the pressures that your fuel pump would put out. You would need to go with one of the better Russell, Aeroquip, or Earls lines. [/quote]Ok, so looks like transmission oil line here I come, thanks sil80drifter.

Because that's a terrible idea. The $2/foot fuel hose is for NON-FUEL INJECTED engines, and will NOT work with fuel injected engines, especially a turbocharged one that has a FPR increasing the fuel pressure substantially. If you use regular fuel line, you're taking some major risks. Just buy the SAE30R7 (NOT SAE30R6) 5/16" line for $7.50 a foot. Don't cheap out on this unless you like catastrophic damage.

Some punk at Autozone sold me the SAE30R6 hose when I asked for fuel injection hose, I went to install it and noticed it seemed pretty week...glad I looked up the SAE numbers.

Works out to $2.70 a foot.
