I just got back from BeaveRun Motorsports Complex (outside Pittsburgh). It was like the ultimate 3-ring motorsports circus. I was at the Audi event on the North track which was awesome. I was initially disappointed that I had the only Nissan at the Audi event, but I quickly noticed several 240sx's at the other end of the paddock at the Vehicle Dynamics area. There was a drift event going on at the same time. I'm wondering if there were any NICOnauts there? It was rainy, so it didn't look like it took much to get the cars loose. It also looked like the participants were having a great time. I watched some of it. I saw several S-13s, a couple S14's, a black 300Z, an S2000 and an MR2 with a HUGE wing. At the same time there was a major go-Kart event going (BeaveRun has an amazing kart circuit). The paddock was full of motorhomes/trailer/tents/families/pets, drifters, and roadracers.A little bit of everything. Very friendly atmosphere.

Sorry, no pics, though I did take some nice 8mm video footage of one of my run sessions on the main track (I have a camera mount in the car).

I think the weather kept the # of drifter folks down. I think there were only maybe 15 cars. But they pretty much unlimited slide time.

I totally agree. The kart race was well-organized, and professionally run. First class. lotsa different groups/classes. They had adult groups as well. Some serious machinery was there. Very competitive and very fun to watch.
