We got there about 10am, the event was set tot start at 11. I had two big problems. My autofocus is no longer working. It's kind of a pain to focus manually that fast, but I worked with it. Also, I keep forgetting to buy new lenses. I'm still using the stock D40 lens.

People started rolling in, changing tires, unloading cars.

RJ was humping it. My hope is in 9 months it'll give birth to an RB.

They took the Scooby out for the shakedown.

And it popped. Nothing big, they had it running in no time.

The drivers meeting.

And then the parade lap.

And now the good stuff. I was asked to move from this position, something about drifting towards the photographer made people nervous.

Random S12 showed up but didn't drift.

Right after, Random GT-R. Also didn't drift.

Blown tire

This car had some issues, but he kept working on it.

Topless Drifting

Mazda out of nowhere

It all started to wind down a bit. Got some lunch. I bought a grill and griddle to make burgers.

She was pretty cool, I'm bad with names so I don't remember hers. Her and her BF were there drifting.

Argyle hood = win

This guy failed tech (no seatbelt). He must have borrowed one cause he had it up and drifting later.

Getting tires changed for the ride home.

Everyone had a great time. It was hot. We had one person got to the hospital from dehydration. Have to drink a lot! We in the Northeast tend to forget this.
I was also passed by one unnamed drifter on the the way home, only to pass him and the State Trooper on the side of the road a bit later. Tisk Tisk.
I'll be making a few more slideshows, but I HAD to put his into one.

Link to the album with even more pics, and stills from the slide shows.
