I was there that night at Daikoku, but after those cars were lined up. Only the R35 was still there by the time I made it down.

The Wangun ain't the ring. It takes more than whiz bang technology and a nice lap time to get street cred. To quote Rick Flair, to be the man you got to beat the man. They all say GT-R but I don't think any R34,33 or 32 Rs plan on laying down for the new guy and for all the hype the R35 doesn't have the chops to take anything from the old guard in a streetfight. I would not want to be rolling a new R for the first year, you will have a target on your back and precious little to protect yourself with.

No love for the Sunny hiding behind the R33?

haha that is actually true! you are in the hot spot driving the R35! althought the reason many people do buy it, and Im probably just speaking from Californias perspective, to just own a skyline, just that simple. although it does have a lot of outstanding features, but if I got to pick it would be the R34 Gtr hands down!

I also heard (correct me if Im wrong) that the R35 is really hard to do any further modifications on since its kinda almost pushed to the max. That theoretically you can only squeeze out 700hp as max. almost like the 350z which is stock, pushed to its pontentials... However the R34 or even the other models has "unlimited" potentialls as of havin 1000hp and so...

Btw I dont want to sound like a newb. but what is all the nicknames for the Skylines?

The 35 is pretty much sealed off from modification by design. I am sure if the computer and all the gadgets were not stopping someone the engine could push more power but you would have to be a NASA computer engineer to get that crazy variable timing to work.I call the 30 mine, the 31 boxy, the 32 sexy, the 33 tubby, the 34 bitchy and the 35 fugly. Not sure what nicknames other people use.
