beater car

I have a friend thats going to sell his '90 base crx for 200 bucks. it has around 116k miles on it with a new transmission. he had an accident on the driver side and it'll take about 600$ to fix it.

do you guys think it'll be worth it to pick up the car? i love my s14 but having a junked car would be kinda fun.

First off this is Former_240_S14, and I am at Fred's just hanging out right now.

I would ask my self one question if you want this to be your beater.....does this problem with the driver side really need to be fixed??? If not just by it and make sure it runs. I have a s14 "obviously" and I also have a 91 Ford Tarus for my beater "which is for sale, lol". I really do like having a beater becuase it makes me appreciate the s14 sooooo much more than just having it for my everday car. Also it shows us how good we have it to be fortunate enough to have such nice cars.

get it! don't fix it, just make sure it has oil and gas. a cheap beater that gets good gas mileage is the best thing you can ask for. low insurance, saving money on fuel almost pays for itself.

get it i jsut paid my friend $700 for her 91 celica with 160,000mi on it and it has an oil leak. everything else on it is great tho
