ok, heres the deal, i know that this importing skylines thing has been beaten to death but i was wondering, if a skyline(1996 R33 to be exact) was to be imported to Australia, would it 1. need to be modified to fit their standars, and 2. do i still need the same amount of turmoil importing it here. I also am not sure if their road and safety guidelines are different, but would it be as hard as if not harder than getting it straight from japan?

if anyone here has any knowledge of this, i'd greatly appreciate it.

ps. the car was modified to fit their standards, so how much different are they from us?

Why would you have to import it to Australia? They are already there and legal.

Oh and importing to the US is importing to the US. Doesnt matter where its coming from its going through the same US customs crap.

oh and i meant export from australia to the usa. i know they have many of the same cars so i wondered if it was pre-modified to fit to thier standards

Skylines were sold in Australia in the same JDM condition. So I guess that means their vehicle standards are the same as Japan.

But to import one from Aus to US?No different than from Japan.Isn't a matter of where it comes from, only "outside of the US".
