Hey everyone i have a new car and am new to this forum as well. A few months ago i bought a certified pre-owned M56 and so far im loving all of it.

I had a question on a mod i wanted to do so i thought i would ask if anyone here can help. I just picked up a BEAT SONIC TVK-56 from ebay im i want to install it myself. Are there any guidelines or technical drawings on how to take apart the dash/ head unit in order to install it? any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Here's a video to install the Prestigious Society version, but it should be identical.

Okay, so this helps prevent the system from 'locking you out' while doing more than 1mph, but where is the DVD portion? I wasn't aware these cars played DVDs.

Yeah, Ilyakol. The disc drive will take a DVD and when the parking brake is engaged it will play the DVD on the screen. The audio is phenomenal if you have the 5.1 system. I understand that having the brake engaged is a safety feature, but having the picture only available in park should have been sufficient.

Ahh I did not know that. I need to pick this up then, lol.

Does the drive only play legit DVD's or can you load a couple of MP4/AVI files onto a data disc, etc.?

I took random AVI files, MPEGS and burned them to DVD and they worked fine. I don't know if a data disc with raw mpeg or avi files would work. I assume that having a data disc as opposed to having a DVD or Video CD is that you would be able to put more videos onto one disc. The manual lists a whole bunch of discs and formats the drive accepts, but to be honest, I couldn't even get the pictures or video from a thumb drive to play even in formats that the owners manual suggested. Small or large file size, it didn't matter.

Does anyone know if this will work with the 2015 Q70?
Or is there any other video bypass available for the 2015 model?
