I'm usually not a big fan of straight line racing but last night i was hanging out in the parking lot and some local S2K guy pulled in the parkin lot and ask me if i wanted to run him.

it's a 2002 S2K (9k red line) w/ exhaust and intakesand then we goFirst and second gears we were DEAD EVEN. I started to pull him on 3rd and at the end of 4th gear. I was almost 2 cars ahead of him. The guy seem confused he got beat by a 240

I surprised myself big time. I never thought that a stock SR w/exhaust, downpipe, and intake would beat an S2K (only boosting 7lbs on SMIC) or maybe the guy wasn't a great driver...who knows

one point for the 240

after the race i talked to the guy. I asked him how much the S2K weight and he told me 3800 lbs, and i told him there's no f'ing way an S2K weight that much, yet he stood by his word....can anyone here confirm this? i think the guy doesn't know what's he talking about

2800 is about right. They're around 50 pounds lighter than the Z3. Stooks get their wieght from an incredibly rigid chassis with lots of crossbracing. The most notable being behind the seats to give them the structural rigidity of a coupe. In comparison the Mazda Miata wieghs right around 2300 pounds.

curb weight of an s2000 is 2835lbs. so it is heavier than your car, but not much. i raced and s2000 a couple weeks ago and beat the pants off him (at 14lbs of boost tho) good kill

GTS-T Skylines are very popular drift cars in Japan.

Nice Kill, btw.

I love S2ks though, they're so much fun to drive.
