Some girl tried to p*** me(illegally) in the turn lane while I was waiting on someone to turn in front of me. So I decide that she shouldn't be able to do that. She floored it and I still p***ed her in an Extremely heavy vehicle.

Ok, if this will ever be looked at we'll see.

Any one with '01 or '02 --I'm looking for cheaper alternative to Nissan's Brush Guard and Tail light guards. Any recommendations.

thankspeace yall

Try looking up a company called Westin. They have one warehouse in Minnesota, but I think their headquarters are in California. They make lots of truck accesories, and they make exact replicas of the Nissan brush guards, but they are stamped "Westin" instead of "Nissan." But I swear, they are the same things.

Hey Biggie - I agree, the '02 pathfinders are fast as hell for a truck/SUV. People always think the will pass the SUV, and sneak one spot forward. Not in the pathfinder!

I found a couple of websites with Nissan parts discounted. I got my bug deflector there for less than half of what the dealer wanted. Did you check sites on the web for bursh guards, or were they still too much?

- 2002 Pathfinder LE 4x4 Nav system, DVD player, and a couple of mods to the stereo system.

Most places I've looked at so far don't even list 02's I'm still uncertain exactly what has changed from 01 to 02. It's still gonna be a while before I get a Brush guard they are too much. I just got the wind/rain deflectors for the windows--still need Rear spoiler. But main concern in parts is for my 240 right now.

Plus I'M BROKE!!!!

What color int/ext is yours? just curious.

I think the biggest differences are the engine. 01 came with the VG33DE, and the 02 comes with the VQ35DE. Also, 02 has available DVD navigation. Other than that, they are pretty much the same.

Actually the '01 and '02 both have the VQ35. But there are small differences in the body--such as the bug defelector had to be different from the '01. I'm not sure if those differences would also affect the brush gaurd or anything else.

oh well, like I said I'm poor right now so it'll be a while before anything else for the vehicle-the 240 is getting attention right now.

if i was gonna get a SUV, forget 4runners or trailblazers. the pathfinder is the best lookin one there is out there i think (except for the QX4, i am in love with those). plus, pathfinders will run! i'd hate to race one, i'd prolly get my a** handed to me.

That's actually the kinda dumb thing. QX4 and Pathfinder are exactly the same. Why pay close to 50K for QX4 when a fully loaded Pathfinder LE should be under 35K.

But yeah the VQ35 is a great motor--I can't wait to drive it in a 350Z.

Because if you got the cash, having an Infiniti sounds classier. And personally, I like the grill and wheels of the QX4 better. It might not be worth an extra $20k, but it *is* cooler.

I purchased a 2000 QX4 for less then a Pathfinder. It was a BRAND NEW Truck. Paid $35,000 with brush guards, winddeflectors, all taxes and registration included, and a few thrown in extras for my friends car.

Now I first looked at the pathfinder as well since I thought I couldn't afford the QX4, but I noticed that the pathfinder that is fully loaded costs more. 38k to be exact, and that is not including taxes or anything else. I tried to bring the price down to $35k including taxes and they wouldn't budge, so I ended up going to Infinity and BAM, I purchased it right away. Why pay more for a pathfinder when it's uglier, less warranty, and Infinity sounds a lot better when being asked what I drive.

The QX4 is not as expensive as many PPL feel it is.The MSRP is several thousand higher ( but not 20!) but thats because all QX's are loaded combard to the base Pathy. Also it has a longer warranty and a better transfer case in most model years (including the current one I think).

With a little bit of luck, serendipity and negotiating skills the price difference can evaporate.

Both are great vehicles though!

Fred...:)

PS: Niel you got an INCREDIBLE deal

I beat a Celica too!kinda

My friend was drunk so she let me drive her 2001 celica gts 6-speed. Hella fun!I let my other friend drive my 94 pathfinder. I pulled up next to my own car at a stop light and raced me. I won! I mean, my car won. I lost.

I know how to drive stick very well. I had an 96 eclipse before. My friend just pulled away in the #1 low gear. The celica is decievingly heavy.

Which model was her celica? I thought the GTS model is the fastest. I like the styling, but I didn't really like it too much when I drove one. It was only a GT, but it was still to slow for me. The handling was alright, but nothing to drool over. I guess thats why I'm driving a 240!

It was a GT-S.It has a peak bandwidth that you ride through every short gear. It's fun but it seems like a clumsy platform. Like a Dell computer. The 240 is a great platform. Simple and stylish. Easy to work with.
