Gee, I think T-3 kept their end of the bargain, don't you? They should be commended for acting on good faith!

Sorry you don't feel the same, but I think T-3 and Dennis are a great resource and am thankful for them. Dennis, in particular has contributed the most to our community with his constant research and carefully measured and documented performance modifications and maintenance routines. Without him and his data, and like minded contributors , this would just be another board of guys putting dubs on their rides.

Have to respect the man with knowledge! I do.

If that is your sentiment that I completely misunderstood your post..:dunce

I thought you were expressing that you >arent< worried about them, (like the post says) and expressing the excat opposite of what you just wrote.

Cuz I am concerned about T3, and if a member had gyped them, I would have been kinda mad at said member, as I wish our community to uphold standards, when we deal with a well-loved outfit like T3.

Who let the cheetah outta da zoo?Now i can almost drive like i want to,,,, always. I still need a ATF cooler installed as T3 didn't have one in stock today but i'll get one this week. The guide Replacement went very well. It's been a while since i spent a 'G' and felt completely gratified. Bryon gets two thumbs up from me, i arrived at 8:30< yes 8:30 and he had test driven and gave me the ok to roll by 4:45. That was unexpected. He also gave my car a good review, stating only the obvious, boots on rack, and odometer cluster need replacement. I also got some GOOD news, he suspected that my Plenum hoses were repaced recently!!! WOW, made my damn day!!! Knock sensors still have a question mark 'cause he couldn't tell. Luckily for me all guides were in tack so this job didn't completely break the bank. I can't believe you guys tracked my moves today, that's a joke, but right now it's all good. THANKS YA'LL.

Congrats guy. You're so lucky you live near T3. I'd gladly hand over my greens today if only I had the opportunity to rehab my chain guides there for $1K...

I think it's time to send Byron on tour. The excess luggage charges at the airlines for over 45lbs on the tool box could get expensive though!

When you say odometer cluster, do you mean the dual trip meters (orange LCD cluster in the corner) or the actual odometer? One thing to keep in mind is that the info cluster is back-lit, so you may be able to just replace the bulbs.

As far as knock sensors, did they get any stored codes with the Consult test? If not you should be fine - even if they haven't been replaced.

Were your old guides even cracked? Mine were fine in "Q2" at 47K, but I was still happy to get those time bombs out of there.

Rack boots are very important... if you drive long with them ripped you can get dirt and grit in the seals and destroy them. Then instead of $15 boots (parts) you're talking a total rack replacement.

Don't feel like being tracked is a bad thing... it's so rare for us to see a relatively new member show up, get the guide adivce, and go ahead and step up to the plate with some cash and get the job done. All of us are glad to see an older Q with a good chance to be on the road for a long time!

Get those rack boots and transmission cooler done and you'll be in good shape. You might want to go ahead and upgrade your TCU for 1st gear start too.

Photo's are coming soon...i just need to make some space on one of my memory cards. I believe the guides were fully in tack, thank God, but yeah, it is good to have those time bombs removed.

The problem w/ with my cluster is in the speedometer. At times it jumps about sometimes either stays at 0mph while i'm driving or zoom over to 160mph and stay there, even after car is off. other times like at T3 yesterday it worked fine. My mechanic here in macon and byron both recommended i changed the cluster but retain the odometer itself, apparently it can be unplugged from this cluster in inserted into the new one. It's on my list of "things to do".

That's absolutely correct. Keep an eye out on eBay for the cluster. I bought one for $13 (I think) once that's in my spare parts closet. It takes some work and attention to detail to dismantle the cluster, but it can be done.
