Yup...it's a huge problem right now here. Even over the past couple weeks...so many people have been killed because of these morons. Racing belongs on the track!

They should impose the same punishment on drunk drivers. Especially repeat offenders. But I don't know if crushing the cars is the solution. More could be done. Sell the parts and donate the $$$ to charity or some kind of organization.

Theres my $0.02cents

See who'd buy those parts? Probably some other racers. That mean they support the racers!?

Or...someone who is responsible enough to race at a track. I don't think if they resold the parts they would be advocating racing.

Not everyone with a fast car is a"racer" At least the money taken from the sale of the parts would go to something worthwhile rather then just thrown away. If a street racer wants to race...he's going to do it anyways or get the parts somewhere else.

I totally agree with you. I've seen another article about this same place in California. They were actually thinking to sell the parts first than again most likely SOME of the parts would end up in another racer's car. That is the reason why they not selling the parts. That's what the "Chief Inspector Gadget" said. I'd say he is right. But again they can put money in charity.

Yeah man, it seems you hear something every week now. In the last week it was that accident that sent 11 people to hospital, and then the trucker that they caused to wipe out, crash and die. It is insane when you look at the big picture, how much street racing is costing our society. Hundreds of thousands in damages, countless lost hours at work, dead family members. I know this could be said about anything, but damn, street racing is just so unnecessary.

Yup pretty sad... those 2 girls in a cab, then like a week later the truck driver on the 400. Pure senseless.

They deserve a major punishment. But knowing our legal system (if you want to call it that) they'll get a brief slap on the wrist.

Pretty damn inexcusable if you ask me. They deserve a MAJOR Canadian *** kicking

I remember back when before street racing got all big and it was still kinda hush hush. It was nice, then all the movies started coming out and you have kids in thier mommas coupe out rolling around. I liked it when it was all on some back industrial road with a few people and ( i know its not gonna make a whole lot of sense ) controlled like... I know street racing is street racing but you heard alot less of people being hurt before people just took a car out and tried to race because it looked cool.

Geez...that was an eloquent jab.

We certainly don't advocate street racing here. If it's on a back street and not on a highway weaving in and out of traffic...there is a difference. Still doesn't make it right...but there is a difference.
