Ok you 5.6 and 3.7' guys and gals.

I will be installing the BC'S in the next week or two. I want to know what you all are setting them to on the firm/soft scale. Are there any surprises or issues I should be looking for? You help will be very much appreciated. I'm really looking for the firmer side of the scale. My G37xS is way more firm than this car and it weighing more doesn't help.

Thanks
Andy

On my M35x I set them to the absolute softest setting. Drove just like OEM without all that body roll and a much better stance/look.

I hate how much body role there is with my car. Way to soft for me, I'll try it in the middle and go from there.

Thanks

I find it funny that no one likes to input on questions like these. Pretty simple answer yet no one types in a number :gotme I spent weeks pulling my rear seats in and out trying to dial in a setting... just wish people would honesty answer questions like these.

With that being said... I ended up setting them to 20 clicks all around. I still feel like it's too stiff but any softer and I don't like it either. I'm not a fan of these BC Coilovers... I've own nothing but Teins CS on all my previous Lexus's and never complained

Full hard then two or three clicks back I think. I have not touched them in a really long time. I'm pretty happy with the ride but this is my first set of coil-overs so I have no reference point. They are way better then the drop springs I had before.

Also, get the extenders for the rear so you don't have to pull the seat.

I bought those extenders and then realized how hard it is to get the drill back there and center the hole... I ended up selling them

Debonair,

where did the handles come from. I do have the extenders and would love to do something like that. Looks real good. I guess the best is to do it out while it's not in the car.

I was surprised that members weren't replying. I appreciate all that did/do.

Thanks
Andy

The black aluminum knobs? They were included with the extenders. The install was easy and there was no need for power tools in the car or removing the rear deck from the car.

Here is how I remember doing this:

1. Install the strut coil-overs
2. Take an open Sharpie marker or equivalent, stand it upside down on the dampening adjuster of the strut and mark the underside of the rear deck where the hole needs to be.
3. Check for clearance on the top of the read deck for the knob. Make sure you are not too close to any plastic trim, etc.
4. Poke a hole using a drill bit or pick. No power tool needed. I think I rolled it in my fingers a little to cut thru but the fiberboard used on the rear deck is easy to penetrate.
5. Clean the hole up using a drill bit the exact size as the extender.
6. Install the extender.
7. Mark where the extender where it needs to be trimmed; silver sharpie or masking tape should work.
8. Uninstall extender and trim with rotary cutter (Dremel, etc.).
9. Install extender and install the knob.

Done.
