Looking good Eddie, and cant you just measure the spacers with measuring tape or a ruler? 25mm will be very close to an inch.

measure the spacers. but also let the car sit on the wheels to see how it really looks. the weight and suspension travel will bring the wheel into the fenderwell.

also didnt know that about the brake lines, thanks for the heads up, going this route soon

The real test will be to have the car on the ground..if it sticks out, you can always sell the 20mm spacers if need be

Also, getting someone to trade you their g37's wheels for your 19's will probably be a little hard..good luck though

Is this not an exact math? +50 to +30 with a 15mm spacer?

:rotfl :rotfl that's what I get for crunching numbers all day..a 20mm would give you the +30 offset..15 would be +35

Thanks for that catch :bowrofl:

Damn, sorry to hear that, do u know if tolete's M is an AWD like yours? Maybe that have something to do with it, also isnt it supposed to be cool for the wheels to stick out a little bit or whatever? like VIPs, no? Finally, maybe have some body shop work the fender so its seems the wheels are tucked in...

i think tolete's is rwd..i think im the only one with the x model to do the bbk...i mean everyone likes the way it looks much better cause it sticks out a little...i dunno...im just thinking of options...maybe get different rims but watevers...my car isn't even on the road cause im waiting for the brake lines...thinking about selling it..its still brand new...i would have to do some wide body kit or something to cover it but its too much work...not sure what imma do yet...

yes it will be hard...but im trying to see what my options are...i did spend a good amount of money on this car already where i told myself i wouldn't upgrade anymore...but hey..its in my blood..

im thinking of sending back the spacers and getting the 15mm..
so what size of spacers did you install 20 or 25mm?
Also if you don't want to use spacers, then you can use the G37 19" sport rims and that works without spacers. But don't forget in either setup the spare would obviously not work if you were to get a flat.

Great point man, but what if you were to have a spacer handy for a flat tire situation? Will that work? How wide a spacer would you need if it'd work?

blueM,
so how is it working out for you? 15 is enough to truly avoid touching the calipers, and not to put the wheel/tire too far under the fender.
I still think if you need more than 15mm it's not worth it. More negative offset may effect handling in a bad way as well as put more stress on the suspension. Better braking at the cost of more precise handling. :gotme

Hey guys..so I'm finally done with the upgrade..the brakes are awesome!!! Only problem I'm having is the spacer...20mm makes it stick ou too much..weird thing is there is a lot of room in the rear where I can fit 10mm spacer but the front im actually like 2mm from the caliper when I use the 15mm spacer..what I don't understand is almost everyone that has the bbk setup is using the 20mm spacer and their wheels don't stick out..mine stick out..it's either they are using different spacers or the dimension for the awd and sport model is different...

most likely the awd dimensions. on a sidenote, the rear calipers are further from the spokes because the caliper is significantly smaller.

Thanks for an update!
What the reason not to use 15mm? It gives you minimum required 2mm clearance, so why don't you stay with this set up?

What he said... I really want to order a BBK, but will not unless I know for sure 15mm works. It's sitting in my shopping cart on concept Z website :ohno:

blueM,
Did you feel big improvements in brake performance in daily driving from the stock brakes? Any vibration problems, I assume you got hub centric spacers but still how is the highway ride?
Here are the spacers I got:
http://www.optionimports.com/itemdesc.a ... 62&eq=&Tp=

Also, do we still need the spare from a G37S or our M stock one will work with spacers?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The 15mm will work with sport models...mine just stick out cause the awd model has different suspension...but I'm just dealing with it now unless I get the g37s rims cause their offset fits perfect..

The h&r spacers are nice..I'm using the ichibans...the brakes are awesome..and 250 miles later..no vibration and feels good...good braking and smooth ride...do far everyone likes it sticking out like that..but I know the 15 will not work..the calipers and the oem rim do rub..so 20mm is what u need for the awd models..sacrifice is the wheels stick out..

Overall..the car feels good!!!

Sdot,
Did you get your BBK install with 15 mm spaces? Was also wondering if you picked Drill rotors from concept Z along with stainless steel brake lines and Hawk HP brake pads.

I changed my mind, actually. I had some issues with extending my warranty where I thought I might be stuck paying retail pricing. It's still not totally resolved yet so I can't spend the extra cash.

elite-warranty-question-t523974.html#p5984853

Instead I just bought stainless brake lines & new Hawk HPS pads for my OEM calipers. Still on the fence about what kind of rotors to buy though. I figured I can always upgrade to the BBK after I run through this set of pads.

Added this thread to the FAQ under the brake section.

As for your thread...do you still have the OEM 19's for sale? I read above you were selling them. I'm in Albany, NY so I can come pick up. Depending on condition of course.

Please send me a private message if you are indeed selling them.
