About to start on this upgrade. Plan on using 370Z 14inch rotors. I just scored the calipers on eBay for 81$ for both front and rear calipers. But the question I have is this should I use wood or what to make the prototype brackets? Plus would mild steel or aluminum be better for the final product. I will update this as I go along. I plan on giving the plans for the brackets away for free once I'm done just trying to play it forward for the Z community to have another front BBK option.

I used plastic from an old cat litter container, it was strong enough to hold the weight of the caliper and still easy to work with. I made mine out of tool steel (overkill material wise but didn't want a failure on a safety system lol). I made them for the VR-4 rotor upgrade a while back but the same idea applies here. I can take a pic if I still have them somewhere.

We used a think piece of plexiglas for mock-up, it makes it easier being clear, regular mild steel for the finished pieces. That was 12,000 track miles ago.
