anybody else like the **** outta this game. i love it except for the occasional freeze that i experience while playing online. but this thread isnt about that

my friend and i were playing this game earlier tonight. played for about 2.5-3 hours and it froze both our ps3's. we said the hell with it and quit. i watched a little tv and got bored because there is never anything on, of course, and turned it back on. i went into the multiplayer and looked at all my stats and trophies and unlocks and... THEY WERE ALL F***ING GONE!!!!

ive got 21 hours invested in that goddamn game and now it looks like ive never played it before in my life. 22 or 23 thousand xp, level 19 or 20 rank and almost half of all the bonus stuff you can unlock. and now its gone. this is one situation that needs to be unf***ed right now.

you can check your stats online through ea by linking the website to your psn id on ps3 or gamertag on the box. i got on there to see if it was just my ps3 and that says i havent linked a psn id yet. which of course is horse s**t, because i have checked it multiple times. the screenshots and multiplayer achievements are stored online and can only be viewed through the website.

anyone else experience this or even play this game. i just want to know if its happening on the 360 too

I had my system freeze on me once (PS3), but it didn't remove my unlocks.

In 2142, we used to run into server errors that would cause you to not have access to your unlocks. Exiting and re-accessing the server usually fixed that issue.

Also, and I know you thought of this, make sure you're joining ranked servers.

Check EA's support forums. I can guarantee this isn't an isolated issue. Check to see what the fix is.

theyre back now.i dont know how long it took, but theyre finally back up now. i probably would have gotten rid of the game if not.

im thinking it was a server side issue. i was not the only one because the forums were full of ppl talking about it.

whew! glad your stuff is back man.. scared me for a second. that would suck donkey balls if your stats never came back, because I've seen your stats on the leaderboard and you're pretty high up there.

so you didn't even actually do anything and the game just fixed itself? what happened with your friends stats? were they erased as well?

everything came back up. must have been a hiccup with the server. do you ever join squads on that game with friend? if you do i was just wondering if it ever froze your ps3 up on you. mine freezes every time me and my friend play with a squad invite. might not freeze for awhile, but guaranteed to do it.

finally got an hdtv for myself. not top of the line or anything, but much better than the 10 year old tv i was using. 26" VIZIO. the difference is unbelievable. i can actually read stuff on battlefield now

nope, mine has NEVER frozen up on me while playing BF:BC, with or without a friend (knocks on wood). maybe you're not in NAT2? ..but that still wouldn't explain a hardware failure.. hmm..

but congrats on the TV! what kind of cables you running? HDMI? components? what resolution?
