Didn't realize it was out yet. Yet another reason for me to get a new PC ASAP.

Does it play like BF1942/BFV? The later entries in the series paled in comparison to those two. If it's really a return to the series' roots, I'm all over it.

EDIT:Stupid PC version got delayed. Screw it then.

I haven't had a chance to play yet, but I've heard its kind of like a mix between the older BF's and Bad Company...I want to try it real bad.

It's like BF 1942 mixed with BF2 and VERY LITTLE Bad Company...

Perfect.. Feels like PC gaming on the PS3.

The controls are spot on.. while for ground combat the controller is not as good as a mouse and keyboard, driving and flying controls are MUCH better than on the PC.

being a Digital Fighter Jock for years I racked up 150 kills like nothing in the plane.. everyone sucks at flying so I was going an entire match without getting shot down once while racking up 20+ kills.

Plus since everyone sucks at flying they tend to leave the planes sitting on the carrier so I have an unlimited supply

Honestly I don't even know what the maps look like from the ground as I have not been out of the air yet... lol

I'm going to be very "busy" with this game for a long time.

It's back to the roots.. except you can blow buildings up like Bad Company..

Buy an Xbox 360... you can get them for like $150 all over the place. I have it for the PS3 but both versions are identical.

I have a 360. I just don't want to play BF1943 on it because I'm terrible at shooters with a gamepad. I'll just wait for the PC version to drop in September.

so i finally got the flying mechanics down, but i still suck at being effective with it. I can not for the life of me shoot planes down, and my bombing skills are teh fail.

After I saw this thread yesterday... I was trying to find somewhere to buy it from... and then I noticed that it's a download only.

I will be getting this just as soon as my PS3 gets here. I loved playing BF:2 on the pc. Hope this is similiar.

what helped me alot is you switch to interior view for shooting planes and personnel on the ground. bombing takes practice and works best with exterior view.
