I love my Z. But my friend had an RX-7 Turbo, i'm not really sure if it was twin or not? Wasn't much interested, but i was in the car when we took a corvette c5 in third gear on the freeway from a rolling start. Those things are light and fast when you put some work into them. From a rolling start though, i would say it's between the supra and the Z. Off the line i would think the rx-7 would have a pretty good chance, with the z behind it, then the supra, and the 3000gt.

don't flame please, i don't know much about these cars, just an educated guess.

Off the line? 3000gt hands down, followed by the rx7 then the supra then the 300zx.

At a roll, probably the supra then the 300zx.

At highway speed, 300zx then supra.

Those gto's are fast off the line.

W/ALL DO RESPECT--Nissan produced this clip. I want to agree, but then I have never really driven head-to-head against a Supra!

AWD > rwd off the line. My friend has a jdm mitsubishi gto (3000gt) and 300hp on 4 sticky tires is impossible to keep up with off the line, even on drag radials.

According to magazines when they were all brand new.....

1995 Nissan 300zx TT 5.5 0-60, 13.9 1/4 mile

1994 Mazda RX7 5.3 0-60, 14.0 1/4 mile

1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 5.7 0-60, 14.2 1/4 mile

1994 Toyota Supra TT 5.3 0-60, 13.7 1/4 mile

All in all, they're quite even stock for stock at the drag strip.

the 3000gt vr4 (94-99) did 0-60 in 4.8 and 1/4 in [email protected] according to motortrend.

The 91-94 model had 20hp less but still did 0-60 in 5.0
