the battery is nudged in between my cold pipe and my fender. so its very small but i really dont think thats the reason why its not keepin a charge. basically what happens is, we have to charge the battery everytime we start the car after it sits for awhile. after we run it for awhile it starts after each time because the alternator charges it. but then after it sits overnight, the battery is dead. im worried its a ground wire but my dad who is a mechanic says its just because the battery is too small. any thoughts

Dude.. My tractor has more cold cranking amps then that.. No offense. If you cant find a bigger CCA Battery to fit in there, Think about relocation. If it continues to go dead, Check for a wire grounding out or current draw.

Get a meter on there and see how many amps your car is using when it is off. It is possible that something is pulling more power than it should or is wired wrong.

do you think it's best to buy a relocation kit they sell online or to buy a bunch of wire from a hardware store and do it? personally i have no idea how to install one and i HATE batteries and electricity with a burning passion becuase i have seen soem crazy stuff happen with them...

Who did the stereo install? Did this problem start around the same time? Having a bigger battery won't fix the problem, just make it so it takes a little longer before it won't start again.

That battery is seriously under-powered and I am betting your father is right...Summit sells a nice easy install kit for relocation for under $80

If it wasn't starting the car at all I would agree with you that the battery was too small but it work just fine unless the car sits over night, that says it's a power drain issue. You'll have to get an ammeter on it and start disconnecting things until you see power draw drop and then troubleshoot whatever circuit was pulling the power.
