Now that I can start my engine when the battery is charged, the engine just drains the battery. I runs out of juice after about 10-15 min. of idling. I have the little Odyssey PC680. I know a fair amount of people use this battery without any problems. First I thought I didn't have my alternator hooked up properly since there was a big stud on the lower back of the alternator with nothing on it. However, there is also a smaller ground already hooked up to the chassis next to the fusebox. Do I need a second ground for the big stud? As far as I know all it needs to work is the positive terminal and one ground, right? Both of these are hooked up. Then there's the third, rectangular, grey (8 prong?) connector that goes into the side. What is this for? What looks like the other end of it about a foot back towards the firewall has no place to go. Is this my problem? Please help me! This is all I need to drive it now!

OK, I now know that I am missing the alternator's field and armature wires. Can someone please tell me where these go? I'm pretty sure that both need to go to either side of the starter switch. Unfortunately I'm dumb abd dont know where my starter switch is. Can someone please help?

yep, your problem is that you don't have the large, snap in plug connected. The harness should have plenty of room to move it close enough to plug it in.

that'sthe problem though, there is nowhere to plug it in! I had cartune/neishlin do my harness, who supposedly contracts Ken from motorex to do harnesses, and there is simply nowhere to plug that thing in. But I should have a connector coming off the engine harness? Thiw worries me, because those wires might be hard to find now.

Dammit, it looks like I can thank Cartune for yet another ****up. They converted my harness and there is no place for tha plug to go. They have somehow managed to screw up virtually every aspect of my very simple long distance interactions with them.
