hello all,

what is the best procedure in checking when the batteryneeds tobe replaced (other than dying!) i want to know are there any tyypes of batteries that help theKA24DE produce more HP?? and if not, what is the smalles and lightest battery i could get??

No, a battery will never increase horsepower it's simple physics and principles of engine operation. Take your car to AutoZone and let them hook it up to their electrical system tester, they do it free and it tells you alot of things. Check out http://www.summitracing.com , Optima sells several small, powerful batteries. Also, I'd suggest moving your battery to the trunk, it makes the 240 have ALMOST 50/50 weight ration.

thanks, is summit or online the only place to get better lighter batteries?? dont any stores have them so i dont have to order online?thanks for the reply though!

If you have a wet cell bat you can check the specific gravity, they sell like this big eye droper lookin thing, that will tell you for sure if the bat is any good.

EVERYBODY sells Optima batteries, except maybe walmart...I've seen them at Autozone and several other parts stores.

Yep, and optima is a gel-cell batter which means you can mount it upside down, sideways, diagonally, and it's always good for some hella great spark. Optima batteries kick azz.

what do you need to transfer the bat to the trunk and how do you do it... exactly where did you put it?

Search for "battery relocation" Go to http://www.summitracing.com for the exact things you need. Get a driver's liscense, get insurance.
