I have a 1993 hatch, I just replaced the batter in march of this year, and now it seems the battery is dying, again. when I start the car it has trouble turning over, like its just not getting enough juice. the only thing I've changed since that time is the interior, door speakers, and my head unit. any ideas on what it could be? alternator not charging the battery or something?thanksEric

try putting a voltmeter on it to see if your alt is charging.of course check all connections including grounds and if it is not a maintenance free batt. check the level of fluid in the batt.

Alright well after the first post my car began running fine, but for the past few days it's been getting weaker and weaker again and now it won't start. Any ideas now? my connections seemed fine when I changed the oil last week. so I don't know whats going on. It started dying after I turned my stereo up really high, I don't think a 250w system would drain the battery that much...

do a battery leakage test with a volt-meter by putting one wire to one post and put on in the middle of the battery and if you get any readings clean the top of the battery really good

Thanks, starter has been changed, and it starts perfectly now. pretty easy change as well, too bad I didn't have the time to wait and just take mine apart and fix it that way.
