I have a 2 year old Bosch battery from Pep Boys. It has been dropping to 11 volts lately. If I don't drive more than 3 times a week...it sometimes gets to 11 volts. So I took a reading and it was at about 8 volts. It has been getting weak for the last 3 months. My charging voltage is at 13.8 volts constantly.

I took it to an Auto Parts store where they did a load test and it came up "Bad".

I then brought it into Pep Boys. Normally they do a Load Test on it while in the car.
But I carried it in to someone working in parts. He puts in on a "Charger" for 40 minutes. The readout says---it was 8 volts and now it is 12.7 volts. Then the worker gives it to me saying the battery is good. Without even using a hydrometer to test the cells.

Now how do I convince these geniuses that the battery is not "Good"?

I wrote a complaint on the Pep boys site. They called the next day and said their charger does a load test. They don't use hydrometers for testing. I finally got another battery under warranty.
