I just cleaned my battery terminals because they had so much corrosion I was able to blow on it and watch it spread. It seems like my car is running somewhat better. Am I just imagining things or would this change something? My car was idling rough and driving like ****, and I know that battery terminals are supposed to be kept clean, but damn, can anybody give me there opinion or explain this?

As a senior in Electrical Engineering, if Nissan decided to ground the ECM off of the negative terminal then it might cause a "dirty ground" which could mess with the ECM's logic. However that doesn't make much sense, since a chassis ground makes more sense to me.
