battery symbol on GPS Screen

I recently noticed a battery symbol next to the antenna strength symbol on the GPS screen of my 2011 Rogue. Can not find any reference in the owners manual as to what this this battery symbol is monitoring. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I don't have GPS (my Rogue is SL) but on my screen (on the upper right corner), there is the antenna icon (which shows the signal strength of the cell phone) and a battery icon (which shows the battery charge level of the cell phone). I am not sure if the upper side of the head units are same in the SL's with navigation.

The battery symbol is for your cell phone's battery life. It only goes away if your battery life is very weak or if you have no phone connected to your bluetooth.
