So i have a 1990 240sx hatch and I have a freakin wedding to go to tomorrow and my car does not work.

I changed my alternator cause it went out and figured its time to put my battery in the trunk. Its a relatively new battery its a duralast top mount.

Put it in the back attached a thick wire to the old positive clamp and ran it to the back. I put a negative wire on the battery to the tire mount thing.

Than where the old negative wire was i attatched a wire going from the intake where it was to the metal hump of the wheel well.

And i read all the articles on battery relocation and its prolems but i cant seem to find what i did wrong...

Now everytime I charge up my battery my car will drive fine but a rough idle and after a while it backfires like crazy and keeps bogging. When I put the clutch in and rev it up tho it revvs up pretty good last time i can recall. the second i stop the car pretty much stalls out and dies out.

I really need help on this any suggestions whatsoever????

check the wiring for loose connections and such as well as anything that could be loose. I had a problem similar to yours and it was a bad alternator. The car ran but idle was iffy and it would bog down and die. Check that out if nothing else works
