Through the fire wall on the passenger side (after soildering the wires together of course) and then under some stuff. Take out the door sill at the bottom of the door (very easy), then the small panel that runs UP the door sill, peel back the carpet, and you can run the wire under the foot placing space, and then under the carpet between the seat and the door sill, there should be a little brace (looks like a little bridge) that you can slide the wire under. Peal more carpet back as you go, then take out the back seat (bottom only), then under the rear quarter panel, over under the upper rear seat, and into the trunk, to whereever the battery is. You'll be needing to cram your fingers and jam this wire into a few tight spots. But you'll get the drift of it. Don't forget to put a fuse in there. Hope that helps.

Some people want the weight distribution of trunk mounted battery and if you're going to do that, run it inside. Plus if you are racing on the track (the only really good reason to relocate is for weight placement) you will need a approved battery box etc. I decided I didn't care enough about that, and didn't want all the hassle so I just bought an Odyssey PC680 battery (TINY and light!) for $85 and kept it in the engine bay. The Bitz LM FMIC kit includes extended terminal wires for this kind of setup. Trunk mount is cool, but just wanted to mention the other easier and cheaper options.

Hokiruu, how long have you had the PC680? Has it given you any problems? I was thinking about getting it and mounting it under the passenger seat like they did in SCC.

You don't need to drill. You can feed it through an existing hole. Pick one that already has wires or hoses through it, and try to slam it through there. If not, put a coat hanger through there, tape the wire to it, and pull it through carefully. The wire will come through under the dash, shine a light first to know where you are putting it. Should work. At least it did just fine for me.

Actually I have not even ran the car with it yet since I am still doing the swap. Have you heard of it having problems? I don't understand why you would want it under the passenger seat either.

I didnt read those comments...but you DO NOT want to run the battery wire through the car...You want to run it under the car.

Uh, yeah, whatever that guy said. Why not Jesse? I know you have a reason, but why? I would be worried about the cables being eposed and suceptible to bad things, especially on a lowered car. Also, doesn't having really long cables affect the electric current a little? Or you could just keep it in the engine bay...

Oh yeah Jesse, while I have your attention, I sent you an email about Defi Link gauges, but didn't get a reply. Do you have them in stock? (Sorry for the thread jack)

Well I have a 80amp fuse, protection incase there is a short. Short + big battary = no more car. Basicly you dont want the 2 charges to meet, ever try sticking a wrench inbetween the 2 terminals? it gets red hot with just a few seconds.

In SCC, they put it under the seat to save weight from the cable (like that would really be significant??)The longer the cable, the more the resistance, the larger (diameter) the cable you will need. The Dry cell should be fine under the seat though - right?

If its running in the trunk the easier, and MOst unsafe way is to mount it inside the car...otherwise, you do not want that wire running inside the car....too many things can go wrong. when its ran under the car, you run it next to other things running under the car, that obviously are unaffected by low car...like brake lines and stuff....

oh, and to tell you the truth, you might want to check w/ NHRA, it might not even be legal to run it inside the car (the wire)

Well, its not an NHRA box, and I ran the cable inside the car. But here is a picture of the trunk mounted battery I put in. I made that strap too. They approved it at the track when I was drag racing.

Hope you like.

The bottom half of the box is fibre glass, we just molded it to the trunk/spare tire compartment. and the rest is all 3/4" MDF. The floor is only raised like maybe 2 inches, possibly a touch more

So if you ever put antything in your trunk, say like a big wrench, and went for a drive, that sub would be toast right?

Thats correct, this is the exact reason nothing goes in the trunk. If I need to haul stuff, the winter beater is where its at.

Yeah, I wish I had a winter beater. My 240 has taken me on road trips, snowboarding, bad dirt roads, and now I am thinking about starting to baby her a little, lol.

now i know this is a noob quetion, and to stereo i am a noob + im tired...

why would the sub be toast if you put a big piece of metal in the trunk. im geussing it has to do with the magnet...

Cause if you look at my picture, my subwoofer is flat on the floor. So if there were to be a heavy peice of metal, it would damage the sub.
