battery relocation help!!

im going to be doing the battery relocation to the back tomorrow. got everything.. box, wire, ground and little things needed.. but ok.. im not sure how am i suppose to connect my new power wire to the factory wires? i see pics.. but all i see is the new wire going to them and just taped up. is that really how its done.. or is there something els??

I just cut the factory connection off and soldered the new wire to the factory one. A regular soldering iron wont work you need one of those big ones (which I didn't have). So I twisted the two wires together and used a propane torch to heat it up enough and used a lot of solder to make sure there was a good connection.

Yeah good luck. Look up some battery relocation topics if ur still unsure. Also, make sure you keep the ground that goes from the manifold, to body, to the battery. I threw mine away and it caused the battery to get really low and not start properly. I ended up just making my own shorter ground to keep it clean.

yeah thanks trying tomorrow.. ha sucks rain+ no garage= nothing done!!.. i was planning on doing that.. i was going to make a couple of extra ground wires from the motor so bought a little more 0 gauge wire!
