You'd think the cost would be $42.95 for the summit kit wouldn't you?? Well not the Trpower7 way!!! Lets start the battery relocation saga:

Summit Racing Kit: $51.26 after shipping. The kit was well and good, looked like it should have everything I needed, and kind of did. First, I noticed it required holes to be drilled. Having a drill, but no bits, I had to go and get.......

SKIL Drill Bit Set: $15.95A good thing to have no doubt, so I consider this a worthy investment. However, upon routing cable I found that the stock positive cable end has 2 leads going into one battery terminal. How in the world will I connect two roughly 8 gauge lines into one 2 gauge line? You'll buy a.......

Rockford Fosgate Terminal Block: $35.95I probably could have jury-rigged the same thing for cheaper, but I'm getting tired of re-doing jury rigged jobs. Also, it would have been cheaper if I'd ordered it online, but I was in something of a hurry........which leads us to........

Hospital Bill: $1236.95You know those little annoying sealed plastic cases stuff come in? Well smart me decided to try to open one with a pair of scissors, and while trying to force a dull blade through the resilient plastic.....jammed the broad blade of the scissors halfway through my other wrist. You thought those spurting blood things in the movies were exaggeration? Not so!!!

I immediately tied a rubber glove around my arm, cinched it WAY tight, tied a towel around my still bleeding profusely wrist, and drove myself to the ER, in my five speed S13. A blood-soaked interior, and five minutes later, I was rushed into the ER, cauterized, anesthetized, and sewn up.

All in all, $1400 to move the battery to the hatch? Not worth it to me, maybe some of you can do it cheaper though :)

DANG!!!!

You are freakin' nuts man!!! That really sucks... for that much money... I think I would have grabbed a sewing kit from Wal-Mart or something, and tried a little home remedy! Although... insurance is nice to have... I guess I would just whip out the Blue Card.

Hah, of course I have insurance! The cost after insurance defraying was about $200, so I can take that for some nice sutures. I was actually at work wrenching the next day, bandage and all. Luckily I didn't lose enough blood to cause a problem, and I'm a big kid. We'll see how these stitches hold up to my constant bashing and arm use......

I cut the tip of my brothers finger off once. That was pretty cool, but then I got in a lot of trouble. I don't know why, they sewed it back on!

I bet you weren't using a jdm scissor....no wonder.

That summit racing kit sucks *** man. ALL of the parts necessary for the relocation you can buy at an auto store and save about $15-20. I bought the summit kit also, I regret not buying one os those aluminum boxes, cause they look fast.

Unfortunatly, that is the truth. We were in the back yard cutting up tree limb with a pair of limb loppers. I was mad cuz my parents were making me do it and I was cutting the limbs really fast while my brother was holding the limb. I got a little to close and cut about a 1/4 of and inch off of his middle finger. But like I said, they sewed it back on and you can't even tell. But I did feel really bad, it was totally an accident.

I live in NY, at Arch's auto parts store it costs around $10.00 for 9 feet of the power wire.

Mine is done and in, had to do some cutting and sautering to make it all fit, but it's in and the car runs like a charm!. Hopefully I can get pics up, the weight difference is noticeable and welcome btw. I suggest buying the Summit kit, it has everything you need, already there, with instructions for about what it costs to piece it all together from anywhere else.
