battery relcation s14 question

where do you wire the cables through the car? i dont really want to wire it under the car. i read the write-ups but those were for s13s. i tried running it beside the fender and thru the inside but when i close the door, it crimps the cable. So my question is where do you feed the cables through the inside of the car without going under.

Inside the car under the middle console under the carpet and under the rear seats. Thats how i did it anyways.

Well, one of two ways to do that.. Either pop out that rubber piece that the wiring harness has that goes through the firewall and run it through there, or drill through your firewall. If you choose number two, make sure you put a good grommet there so the insulation doesnt rub off your wires.

you go through any rubber gromet under the hood that goes into the cabin. Then you can run the wire along the side under the carpet to the back. That way you can't see it. "outta sight, outta mind" kinda thing.

what he said^^^^in my car the cable runs under the carpet in the front half, then just kinda chills along the side of the ca rinterior, but doesnt move cause its Ott size. as for the ground...i ran the out the lower side trunk vent and bolted it to the frame under the car...if you do that be sure to sand away any extra paint. then once you have the connection made, BE SURE TO PAINT OVER THE BOLT AND METAL SO THEY DO NOT RUST. good luck!
