I'm personally a fan of Optima. I've never had any problems with my yellow top and it handles my sound system and auxiliary lighting pretty well, I've never had the dimming headlights on a low note. Also, my car turns over on the first or second crank, even in the dead of winter.

The factory battery (that came with my '03) had 582CCA and held 52AH. Pretty wimpy.

Great, thanks for the CCA info...Need it to compare to others.I called the dealer and they sell Nissan (Interstate) for $90.Not bad but mine only lasted 3 years. Never had luck with Interstate batteries in my other cars

My Factory AC Delco is still holding strong and its been almost 8 years. I would recommend A/c Delco.

Ive killed an Interstate and a lot of other batteries before I got my Eliminator now I can watch full movies in my car at decent volume without worrying about the battery dying. My next move was an Optima but haven't had to go there after I got this one.

Another vote for the Optima YellowTop. I've beat the crap out of mine and it's never failed to crank instantly.

Off topic but Pwnin how did you wire your lights? I'm about to do mine.

Well I put the relay (it comes in it's own little case with a mount with all of the wiring connected to it) on the passenger side quarter panel area near the battery. I just wired it to the battery (which I just bolted it onto the factory positive terminal collar) and then ground (there's a factory ground right next to the battery). I ran the relays turn-on wire to the brights wire for the headlamps, so my lights only turn on when my brights are on. I ran the switch through the firewall hole next to the drivers kick panel and Velcro'd it onto the interior fuse panel behind the driver knee trim. The switch stays ON always so when I turn my brights on, the lamps turn on. If I need to turn my brights on without the PIAA lamps, I just open that change drawer and push the switch off.

Ahh good deal, you've got yours on the bullbar right? I was thinking since I've got HID's that I'd wire them direct to the battery and put a switch inline. Does this sound reasonable? Go Optima!

Yeah, mine are on my safari bar. Yeah, you can definitely do that. You may want to also wire an inline fuse to protect the lights.

Absolutely, I was going to throw a 20amp in there just for posterity.

XStatic batcap 2000. 300$, kinda pricy, lifetime warranty tho. there is a brief discription of my system in my signature, it hit 154.8 DB in the last compition i competed in, that was about 3 or 4 weeks ago. that is what i run the system at for my normal listening habbits, was playin around one day and gained the amp to about half way, ( it's usually completely down) and it destroyed my back window, if automotive glass could shatter it would have. anyway i run my system for hours sometimes around 1/2 to 3/4 volume and my pathy fires right up with no hesitation.

back when i used to care i would say optima all the way. Had a red top in my accord and a yellow top in my s10 --- both had very big systems requiring a lot of power.

Bought a HO alternator for my s10 and lights were still dimming, bought a yellow top and pretty much solved the problem. (however i was coming from the factory battery which was pretty weak)

like i said, back when i used to care... now, no system, no need to show it off, buy whatever u can find for a decent price...

Just picked up a battery from costco for less than 60 bucks -- so far so good.
