Hey everybody.I have a 04 Max.I just purchased my Max last August and decided to replace the battery in Dec 07.I purchased a Diehard from Sears. The problem I am having is when I drive my work truck home and leave the Max at work for about 1 week, I have to jump the battery.I thought the first time maybe I left something on but this happened a second time the next week I left the Max at work for another week.

I asked a fellow co-worker and he says maybe the factory alarm is draining the battery by the red led blinking 24-7 while the car is sitting at my job.No battery warning light have showed up on the dash or anything.Has anyone had this problem if you left your Max sitting for a week or more?

alarm led draining the battery

did you check if your dome light and door lights turn off when you lock the car?

I double checked that just in case this time when I left it at work. All the interior lights go out after I lock the doors.I'm wondering if I have a dead cell in the Diehard.I will probaly take the car to Sears and let them test the battery today while I'm off.

Yeah, if you can't find any obvious drain on the battery, I'd have it load tested.

Thank you fellas for your responses.I took the Max into Sears for a systems check and it was a bad battery. The assistant manager was the worst though. She claims that by me letting the car sit for a week in the heat and high temperture in the parking lot, that is killing the battery. What bull!I called the dealership where I purchased my Max and the technician says that this is not problem, and it was probaly a defective battery from the start. But they did replace it so I should be ok now.
