I have a 1995 Altima with roughly 136,000 miles on it. Today, my battery light came on. Also, to make matters more puzzling, the parking brake light came on as well. The parking brake light stays on, even when the parking brake is fully released. The car seems to crank fine (knock on wood) and I have not noticed any difference in drivability. I disconnected the battery and cleaned the terminals. However, the problem still remains. I plan to take it to autozone to have the battery and alternator checked out. Any thoughts on what could have caused this? Thanks.

P.S.- I'm not sure whether the alternator is original or not, and I'm not sure how old the battery is. I don't have any service records for the car :(
