I just put a cheap battery in my car, as soon as i did that the accesory items will not work, such as the interior light, radio, clock, and cluster lights unless the car is running. But even when it is running if i hat the brakes or put the lights on they will shut off for a sec. The battery reads 12v constant but it only has 420 cca. Any help would be awesome, thanks

Probably the crappy battery, especially if this is a new problem. Shell out the extra cash for a real battery next time. The reason your interior lights might go out when you hit the brakes is because your brake lights are then a drain on the system.

Sounds like a bad ground, check the battery to make sure the negative cable is properly secured.

You can't find ANY grounds? Start by checking that you have a clean connection on the negative terminal. Follow that cable to (I believe) the intake manifold. Check to make sure you have a solid connection there. If everything looks to be okay, but the problem persists, you probably just got unlucky with the battery.

i grinded down the point where the ground sits, i dont think it is a battery problem because it still starts. I was reading my fsm last night and there is actually a accesory relay im going to see if thats it but i dont think that will amount to much. Any suggestions would be awesomeMATT

We already know that your 750cca battery reads 420cca. When you measured it, you tapped terminals, right? When you did that, you created a tiny closed circuit that isolates the battery from every other system in the car, right? So how would your accessory circuit come into play? Call up a friend and borrow his or her battery for five minutes. Check the battery and if it reads right, drop it in real quick to see if things improve. If so, no big deal, it's just your particular battery. It happens.

No he bought another battery to replace the lesser CCA one.

Check fuses and relays.

the accesory relay seems fine, i thought it was the ignition switch but it wouldnt be because the clock doesnt work when the car isnt on either nor the light so it kinda rules that out
