I've been having this problem for a long while. I have a 91 240sx se w/ high mileage but still runs almost perfect.

The battery light will come on and make a buzzing noise, i'm not sure if this noise is supposed to happen or not but regardless, whenever there is too many accesories on at the same time, like radio, headlights and rear defrost and i put it in nuetral the idle drops a bit and the battery light will come on, also happens more when i'm comming to a stop while the brakes are on.

I've checked all the grounds in the engine, the alternator is fairly new and I have no idea what else to check.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check all your connections to your ALT. You said it was fairly new. If the connections are not tight or if they are corroded (Spelling) then that can cause the battery light to come on. As for the buzzing sound not to sure, I never heard of that before.

I would also have your battery tested at an auto store and even have them test the alt to make sure it is providing the charge voltage that is required.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give it a try as soon as I can. It doesn't seem to be too serious but it's annoying as hell.

Do you have subs and amps??? I added an extra 4ga from my alt to my battery and added an extra 4ga on my battery ground and added an extra 8ga ground on the alt. I notices with my voltmeter my voltage stays up even with every accesory on, cause it used to drop almost 1volt + with every thing on.
