Hello, I'm a newbie here...

I live in South Korea and own a 1998 Nissan Cima Vip Y33.

I have this car as a project for my self and have alot of problems...

Since ONLY 1 Y33 is aviliable in Korea it is very difficult to ask if i have any

problems and mechanics don't know about this car. So plz plz help me out..

My whole suspension needs to be replaced....meaning shocks,

bushings...etc. WHERE CAN I ORDER?? (willl ship out to korea).

My main problem is my battery light is on...

I checked my battery and it's 12.4 or 12.6V i think. Lit over 12V.

and i checked when car is running...it's 14.2~14.5. But if i unplug my

battery when car is on...engine stalls right away. If alternater is running

good it should not stall right away isn't it?

What should i do and how can i check the problem??

Also do u think old belt might cause this problem?

Thats completely wrong.. I think brian told me that... I have th 95, and thought the same, and unplugged the battery, and car went dead. So i thought it was the altenator, and so did tha shade tree mechanic i fired about 4-5 years ago.! Your car requires battery to stay running.. IN a lil bit, somoene is gonan come confirm what i said, but in technicall words !!

Welcome to NICO!

What you're measuring sounds about right. A little over 12VDC with the car off, and about 14.4VDC running. Is your low battery light always on, or does it just come on sometimes? I have had intermittant alternator issues in the past.

It might be worth posting up a picture of the light in question... sometimes people will confuse the symbols on the dash. Years ago, we had a member swear his "differential light" was on - which doesn't exist. He finally posted a picture and we figured out it was the check engine light...

Typically Nissan products with a low voltage issue will also light up the emergency brake warning light and the ABS light...

No doubt that's a battery or charge light. The best I have to offer is a link to the US market Q45 of that same year. I have no idea how similar your RHD version compares to our LHD models. Check out this link to view the factory service manual.

To answer your other question, I don't know if http://www.infinitipartsusa.com ships internationally, but I suspect that if anyone does - they would.

Good luck!
