I am not a real big fan of Mitsubishi cars. The vr4 is a pretty complex car compared to 240's.The engine bay is cramped and electronic parts are very expensive.I have worked on a few of them and they are difficult to work on.

If the alternator light is still on you sure need to get it checked before you go anywhere!Did the shop you took it to tell you the alternator was charging?

i didnt see anyone comment about your ebrake light coming on then turning off usually that indicates your low on brake fluid check the fluid fill if needed.

it only does it when my foot is on the gas for an extended amount of time(like 30 seconds) and no it wont do it if the engine is off it sounds like its in the steering column and the ebrake light is on but it goes on and off when that sound starts
