problem with my 1991 240sx is that the battery light goes on and off...i have taken off the positive side of the battery while the car is running and it doesnt seem that it could be a bad alternator...do you guys think it could be that i dont drive the car everyday and the car sits 4 days to sometimes even a whole week but i start it once in awhile without driving the car?

the set up i have that i think can cause the problem on my car is:

the dual fan set up wired to a toggle switch so its always on and ac wired to a toggle switch

if you guys have any suggestions feel free to let me know

thanks in advance!

Little tough to follw but if I am understanding you the Battery light on your car comes on when it should not.

If that is the case then yes the alternator is probably bad. When the car is running WITH THE LIGHT ON if you have less than 14 volt at the battery terminals then the alternator is bad. If you have over 14 volts then you have other problems.

most likely the alternator. also could be a bad ground from the alternator or somewhere else.

loose alternator belt or if you put on a smaller (underdrive) pulley it will do the same
