Where did you wire the light to the boost gauge? Id also check your battery ground.

Make sure that all of your grounds are properly hooked up. If that doesn't solve it, put a multimeter on the car and start trouble shooting.

Think its my alternator. Fully charged the battery and the lights went out then came back but car ran fine then it started to die on me.

Would guess alternator. I have seen this happen on alot of V6 honda's with the crappy Delphi alternator. At w.o.t. the voltage regulator starts to let too much current through causing the "srs", "tcs", and battery light to come on intermitently. Just a hunch

The same exact thing is happening to me right now. I just put in a new alternator and its still doin it. BUt also my betls squeel pretty loud too. DO you think this is an electrical problem or just another bad alternator. Also have a new battery.

Metal Militia ---> Alternator

Chill ---> Tighten your belt.

Everyone should check their grounds thoroughly before you start nuking expensive sensors. Clean them up and make sure they are connected properly. Check the main battery negative wire for corosion damage in the wire itself. They are cheap to replace and can smooth out the overall workings of the engine.

When i tightened it the belts screeched really loud and was extremly annoying. How do i know how tight the belt is supposed to be?

nismo is right on both accounts.

if your belt squeeks when you tighten it see if the pulleys are shiny on the inside. if so its probally time for a new belt.

All of these have been checked. All came out fine. BUt now as i start the car the alternator starts to make like a loud wine noise, and when i checked the a flashlight i saw smoke. After a minute it stops doing that but the battery light and brake light are still on. when i drive it comes on and off. i used a multimeter and its only at 12.2 volts without the lights on. i know that now the alternator is not charging enough. I just changed the alternator though a week ago. ITs not making sense, its like somthing keeps killing my alternator. help please!!!

sounds to me like one of your pulleys is freezing up on you.. One time i had an alternator pulley freeze up, belt squeeked to hell, smoke from the engine rised up and belt flew off.

My ebrake light and batter light (very dim) have been on for, oh, 6 months. I'll check the ground whosamawhatsit but i've really stopped caring at this point, nothing else has worked and the car runs pretty well.

I would be in the same situation if my lights didnt dim and the battery read 11.9 volts with the car on. i doubt the belt is freezing up because it looks like its spinning fine and doesnt squeel anymore. Im going to get a new alt tomorrow (warranty is the greatest) and ill let you guys know whats up. all the fuses are fine, now its just to where the hell are those fusible links!!!??? any replys will be extremly helpful.

I could be wrong, but i haven't seen any "fusible links" in my 240. most of the cars i've seen running fusible links are domestic. mostly G.M. pretty much all of the newer japanese cars i've see just have better wiring and don't need them. If I am wrong about this don't flame me but someone let me know. I'm not claiming to know for sure, just an observation

My battery light has been on since the beginning of last winter. It gets dimmer as you go to 2000rpms and then brighter from 2000-3000 then starts flashing over 3000. The flashing slows down as it goes to higher rpms. So at 3000 rpms it's hard to tell it's even flashing and not just a steady light. I've had my battery and alternator tested by a shop and NTB. Both said everything was fine. Thing is my display lights flash with the battery light. Yet my headunit doesn't flicker at all. I can't tell if my headlights do or don't. All in all, I don't think the battery light has a real use in our cars.
