Hello,

I have a 2002 Nissan Altima 2.5 s 4 cylinder 5 speed. I've replace 2 alternators and 2 battery's. I've also replaced fuse able link on positive cable and fuse under the hood in fuse box and added one ground wire from battery to engine block and one from engine block to one of the nuts for strut mount. I still have the battery light and brake light on. According to Nissan that's a sign of bad alternator. I've have battery and alternator tested in and out of car still have the lights. If I unplug the grey connector from alternator lights go off plug back in the lights come back on. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Check the voltage on the battery to see if it is too high. If its near 15 to 17 volts or more, then you have a bad voltage regulator on the alternator. If the voltage on the battery with the car running is more like 13 to 14.5 then it is OK.
