Hi everyone,

I have a 2010 3.5 AC MT. This is the second time my stock battery has died on me and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem. Here are the details:

- About 5 weeks have passed since the battery last died
- I couldn't boost it right off the start. Instead, I had to connect all cables without either car running then turn on the car with the good battery for about 5 minutes and then my car started
- I drive my car approximately 15-20 minutes a day (sometimes a day might go by when I won't drive it at all)
- I live in Canada and the winter can be cold (between -40C and 0C)
- I tried to boost it again trying the same method and now it won't start
- I can hear a some kind of click when I push the start button

I figure something might be draining the battery but I have no idea what it could be or where to look. My dealership said the warranty on the battery is no longer valid (2 years) and they want to charge me $300 for a new one. I can just buy a cheap battery from Walmart for $100 but would you suggest that? If so, what type should I look for?

Any and every suggestion helps.
Thanks!

I had my car for 2years before my oem battery start to crap out on me last December. I bought an Optima Red Top battery. It's expensive, but good. It was like 209.99 but after online discounts i paid about $160.

I'm getting a little more life out of my batteries then you but not by much; I got my car in June of 2007 and after this past Monday I'm now on my third battery. $300 is ridiculous; go to Autozone or Advanced and get a battery for half that, and your warranty will be better then two years also.

The OEM batteries are junk, upgrade to an Optima Red or Yellow top, they have 3 year warranties I believe.
