Hey guys I have a 91 TT. I recently installed a EDFC with tein flex and I wired the EDFC to the stereo it worked fine, I also installed a greddy turbo timer I used a harness and spliced some wires with the connection. My issue is the next day my car would not start, so I figured it was the battery I took it to kragen and they said it was fine. I thought it was my alternator so I tested that to and it was fine as well. Something somewhere is draining my battery any ideas? Would it be the the timer or EDFC?? Help me out

Check the wire that you spliced power from on the stereo and see if it is hot with the ignition off. If so, that may be your drain, find a wire that is only hot with the ignition on and tap into that line.

Did it start after you installed everything? Because It sounds like you have an ignition problem not a battery problem, was it not cranking or was it just like clicking like low charge on battery, or nothing at all? Could've spliced into a wrong wire, causing ignition problems and not allowing your car to start. Also check your fuses, if one is blown trace it and make sure you didn't overload a circuit by splicing your stuff in.

Ok so I checked the EDFC and one wire was hot so I reconnected that wire somewhere else where it was not hot. It still drained my battery •_•. Soo out of frustration I disconnected both the EDFC and turbo timer and bang it worked. So now I have to figure out where to wired both of them so they don't drain my battery. Any suggestions?

You can have it hooked up to the stereo but i don't think you want the hot all the time wire, find the wire that runs off of ignition, i believe it's yellow and most aftermarket stereoes.

If not just spice into a hot all the time wire but tie in a switch or a switch and relay(have the switch turn the power on through the relay, that way your elexctronics have a much less chance of getting burnt out), or make a new power run into the interior just for your electronics.

But i'm not 100% sure how turbo timers need to be wired, if you got the wiring harness just follow the wiring instructions, i'd suggest then wiring the EDFC somewhere else.
