Battery ground location

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Where is the negative battery cable supposed to ground out? For some reason mine is grounded to the oil pump and that doesnt seem right to me. Pics would be most helpful but I'll take any help I can get. Mines the SOHC if that matters.

well originaly mine grounded at the battery and then on the same cable went over to the intake manifold(had its own bolt hole next to the stud farthest to the front.
