yeah, now that my battery is relocated, I am in the market for a new battery

I have an infiniti basslink for a bass system, no ampifier, just 4x6 upgraded speakers all around. No other major eletronics, just gauges, booster controller, turbo timer, HID, eletric fan and some other basic stuff.

So.... cheap battery such as interstate or something high end like optima d31a?

Go with the Optima redtop, supposedly the best automotive battery on the market. Never used one myself so...

Bump!

Does anyone know anything about these Buddy Club batteries:

Now, I know better than to order from Top End, but I'm still interested in the product. Does anyone have any experience with them?

option import let me borrow the small one for a week, they work, just like any other battery

the long one is just gay since it's slim but long

I think they're rebadged

^lol My 240 came with that same battery (the everstart).

It has a Optima Redtop now. The previous owner of my M3 installed a Redtop in it as well. I love 'em both.

I've been wondering this for awhile...

I noticed when I had my WRX that the starter never cranked, ever, just one turn, and it started.

I've never had a *problem* per se, with starting my S14, but it still cranks a bit longer, 2 or 3 seconds, before starting. Is this just because it's got an older battery in it?

I'm pretty picky about my car, I like to chase down every tiny noise and rattle, and I'd like to fix this "issue" as well, although it really isn't hindering the operation of the car or anything, it just bugs me.

EDIT: Oh, and with the Buddy Club batteries, does anyone know if there's any real difference between the "small" one and the "large" one, other than size or price? I'd like to relocate mine to the trunk, and I'd prefer the smaller battery if all else is equal.

I wouldnt spend my money for a Redtop. The Yellowtop deep cycle battery cost more, but I think its worth it. I'll stick with my Autozone or Sears (DieHard) battery til I can get a yellowtop.

the only reason you would need a yellow top is if you like to run your radio or whatever with your engine off. it was just made to be run dead and recharged, for normal driving, the redtop will be fine. I wish i nabbed my redtop out of my last car before I sold it. Plus the warranty they offer on them are crazy long.

My point exactly. A redtop is just a fancy smancy Duralast or Diehard. The yellow offers benefits not found in those other two brands.

I honestly dont know how the redtop and yellowtop prices compare to the other brands...

I like the redtops too. Yellow was a little too pricey to justify for me. And the Optimas can be mounted cockeyed, upside down, or any which way. Let's see your cheapo battery do that! My battery is way cooler than your battery, so there. Nananananana!!!! And it looks cool too. I think I'll steal the one out of my Honda and put it in the Nissan. The redtops have good cranking amps for their size. If I want power outta the udder brand I gotta go large. Thats added weight slowing down my rig... who needs that??
