Hey everyone,

Got another problem with my 2011 Infiniti m56. I changed my battery from a 700amp CCA to a 750CCA, and the 250amp battery side fuse keeps blowing up. Ive replaced the starter and the alternator so Im completely lost as to why it keeps blowing up. Would the 50amp increase cause the battery fuse to blow?
Thanks a lot!

Ive attached a picture of the blown fuse.

That fuse can only be shorted at the starter or alternator, anything in downstream circuits would be popping smaller links or fuses. Check your cables, and make sure the new battery is in the correct polarity. If you're trying to hook it up backwards, that's the link most likely to pop.

thanks for the reply, We tried to turn the crankshaft harmonic balancer and it didn't budge. Does that mean the engine is seized and the starter is blowing the fuse trying to start a dead engine or is this normal?

Yep. If the engine won't turn, that's your culprit.
