What's good people ?
I started my car (07M35X) the other day and noticed that the interior LEDs were dim and that the car seemed to sputter to a start. It rolled over n started, but I didn't like the sound at all. Yesterday I started it twice and the same thing. I also noticed that when my amp (1000w RMS n I also have a capacitor) hit, the lights would dim in and out. This is something new. I've had this amp in there since October or so and never had a problem. I wonder now what could be the problem. I'm obviously no "car guy", but I'm guessing the battery is going bad. When I drive the car, this stops. So I'm guessing the altanator is charging the battery but that it's not holding the charge as the car sits. So guys, what do you think is my issue ?

Sounds like a battery on its last leg. I would replace it with an Optima. With 1000 watts rms, I'd also consider purchasing a high output alternator as well. Also, get rid of the capacitor...it is useless. You can get high output alterntors on fleabay and googling around. The range from the cheap end ~250 to ~500 high end. I believe stock is 150A and the high outputs are around 200-270.

Yeah I thought about the altenator already. I was looking around for some on line, but didn't put too much research into it. I also looked for an optima battery. Only problem Is the specs for the yellow top that I would want. The Cc amps are not enough for my climate (NY). I then just started to look for deep cycling batteries in general. I found 1 that I thought would work, but hesitated to put the trigger in the winter. I may have to purchase it now that it's spring/summer. My fear was that I'll have music, AC, lights, all other electronics running and kill the battery. So a deep cycle would be perfect.

Also, the altenator would void my warranty no ? I'm 1 year in to a 4 year. I don't wanna kill anything more than I have already lol

So I wound up buying the battery. I got an I tees rate battery. I believe it's the megatron or something. Don't remember now. But it made the car start normally and killed the fading of the outside lighting.
