On my 70Q once I lift the battery cover I see the caps for the battery cells. The battery is not maintenance free so I decided to check the electrolyte levels. Unfortunately the left most cells can not be accessed because there is another cover on top of it. Any ideas on what to do?

Remove the other cover. All the plastic covers around the battery are held on by pop-clips. Only the cowl cover has an additional clip in the center of the windshield that easily released. Once you start you will see how easy it is.

Someone needs to make a DIY on battery remove and replace for our library. :D

I'll do one eventually...the -15 degree weather was rough on my car, barely started. It's probably the original anyway and I have a 2011.

It is very easy to change the battery on my 2003 M45 ... it is located near the front without any covers. :chuckle:

Have had to change the battery every 3 to 4 years when it stops starting the car well. The joy of keeping my car for almost 13 years now! :yesnod
