:wtf2: I just got my 1995 Q45 and it is an amazing car. The only issue I have with it is the battery keeps dying on me when I only park it for just a few hours. I did put a new CD deck in but removed the fuse to see it that might be it, sadly it was not that easy. The only light on after I park the car is the security light on the dash. That can't be it right? Any help would be nice!

Thank you

have the battery tested at an auto parts store for free....it may be old and unable to hold a charge- thats the first step in diagnosing the problem.

I have replaced the old one about a week ago. It charges when I drive and will start just fine, but the battery will be dead after a while of sitting.

Just a guess.....but is the light on the seat controller on the driver front door flashing? It drained my battery overnight a few years ago until I reprogrammed the seat positioner.

I had the same problem with my 1995 Q. Check that the connection for the security on the front hood or for that matter the trunk too. That drained my battery daily. Just had it disconnected.

Buy a cheap VM/Ohmmeter and Google Parasite Battery Drain. Follow them steps.

sandydennis2326876 I think you might be on to something! The hood of the car is bent from the owner before me and still need to replace it! How would I rig it for now?

Just unplug the hood switch... that'll fool the alarm in to thinking the hood is closed.

Yes it was the front hood! I have had it taped down for over a week now (the button thing) and I have not needed a jump start at all. Thank you so much for all your feedback very help full! :mike
